About Us
Advancing physiotherapy across Fiji
The Fiji Physiotherapy Association is the national professional body representing physiotherapists and advancing quality movement healthcare across Fiji.
Established as the corporate professional body for physiotherapists in the country, the Fiji Physiotherapy Association (FPA) unites practitioners, specialists, and students who are devoted to the science and practice of physiotherapy. Governed by a dedicated Executive Council and guiding the duties of our Advisory Committee to support regulatory alignment with the Allied Health Practitioners Decree 2011, the FPA acts as both a steadfast advocate for its members and a guardian of public health. We welcome diverse members—from local students to foreign specialists holding recognized qualifications—providing a collaborative platform to exchange ideas, enhance academic training, and uphold a rigorous Code of Conduct. By representing our members in professional, academic, and workplace matters, the FPA ensures the enduring integrity of the physiotherapy profession in service to the people of Fiji.
Our Mission
The Fiji Physiotherapy Association (FPA) is dedicated to advancing the science and practice of physiotherapy while actively representing the interests, welfare, and working conditions of our members. We strive to maintain the highest standards of professional practice and ethical conduct by facilitating academic training, fostering mutual respect, and advocating for the integrity of the profession. Through these unified efforts, we ensure the delivery of safe, competent care to protect the public from malpractice and assist our communities in all matters relating to physiotherapy.
Our Vision
Our vision is to cultivate a thriving, globally recognized physiotherapy profession in Fiji characterized by a generous professional spirit, lifelong learning, and unwavering excellence. We aspire to be the definitive voice of the profession, driving continuous advancement in health and safety for the public, and shaping a healthcare landscape where the vital contributions and status of physiotherapists are championed countrywide.
